We are seeking a full time Project Manager to join our team in either Moncton, NB, Fredericton, NB, or Halifax, NS.
Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of delivering a project on time and on budget while maximizing profitability. This position requires extensive use of independent judgment and discretion. Responsibilities include establishing delivery schedules, ordering materials, being the main point of contact with customer personnel and managing all project documents and correspondence and proactively acting to achieve project goals, managing project financials with senior management, resolving customer issues, and ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction and final payment. Project Managers are responsible for accurate reporting through the ERP system as well as closing out contracts at the end of projects. This is all done within the confines of Apex Industries’ Mission, Vision and Values.
Responsibilities
·Analyzing data on factors that can influence costs, such as materials, labour, and location.
·Work with subcontractors and/or suppliers as required on any project issues.
·Lead the Apex the team, and assist customers and site superintendents in the coordination, expedition, and distribution of all project information and changes. This will involve specific attention to scheduling, reconciling product, and project paperwork.
Requirements
·DHI courses, or designation is an asset
·College diploma in related field or equivalent work-related experience
·Project Management experience is preferred.
·Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
·Experience using ERP software for the Doors, Frames, and Hardware industry is an asset
·Demonstrated project managing skills in commercial and/or institutional construction settings.
·Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
·Strong teamwork values.
