Those who attended the 2019 Canada Conference in Quebec will remember Dr. Karl Moore. He led both the plenary session and one of the concurrent sessions. His message is still resonating with delegates and we’re excited to have him back at the 2024 Canada Conference in Halifax.
Dr. Moore’s most recent book – “Generation Why: How Boomers Can Lead and Learn from Millennials and Gen Z” - explores the changing dynamics in the workplace and the impact these dynamics have on leading and learning from the five generations currently trying to find balance in the new business environment.
Dr. Moore is also working on another new release – “Introverts/Ambiverts/Extroverts As Leaders”. The notions of introverted and extroverted behaviour are well understood, but there is increasing evidence that some people are ambiverts – capable of displaying both tendencies at different times. Leaders can learn to act like ambiverts by identifying their natural tendencies and practising behaviours that are more associated with the opposing type.
After completing his MBA at the University of Southern California and Ph.D. at the Schulich School, York University, Karl worked for eleven years in sales and marketing management positions in the high technology industry with IBM and Hitachi.
