Ontario Commercial Doors
Sales Manager
Ontario Commercial Doors is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales & Estimating Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and estimating within the commercial door industry, with a strong focus on technical knowledge, customer service and relationship building. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and ensuring accurate and competitive project estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Lead and motivate the sales and estimating teams to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Assist Sales Representatives on large sales and provide guidance as required
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
- Business Development
- Conduct outreach to new target customers and foster strong relationships to secure new business and tender invites
- Attend relevant tradeshows, events and conferences to network with new prospects.
- Estimating:
- Oversee the estimating process and team for commercial door projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability.
- Ensure the estimation team are constantly pricing new projects
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for your own sales/estimates
- Project Management:
- Coordinate with the project management team to ensure smooth project execution from estimation to completion.
- Touchbase with project management team periodically throughout project pipeline to ensure optimal client satisfaction
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the commercial door industry. Use this information to inform sales and marketing strategies.
- Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis to senior management.
- Education:
- Stay up to date on new technology, products and code requirements and promote/encourage consistent learning throughout the Sales & Estimating teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
- DHI Course completion or certification considered an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and estimating within the commercial door industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
