Alastair Robert Wedderspoon

September 16, 1961 -  April 30, 2020

Alastair Robert Wedderspoon, 59, succumbed to a heart attack and passed away on Thursday April 30, 2020 with his wife, Maria Lau, at his side. Alastair is survived by his mother Nan (MacLean) Wedderspoon, his wife Maria Lau, and his son Matt Mok. He was a loving son, an adoring husband, a caring father, and a supportive friend to everyone he met.

Alastair was an Auxiliary Officer with the Toronto Police for over 25 years, volunteering his time to serve and support the community. He loved watching crime TV shows, Star Trek, and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs with his wife. Alastair was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects, technology issues, or whatever else people needed him for. Everyone he met felt and remembers the size of his heart, as he genuinely cared for all of those around him.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be having a private funeral service on Wednesday May 6 from 11AM to 1PM. This service will also be live-streamed for family and friends. When the COVID-19 pandemic is resolved and the restrictions lifted, we will be organizing a Celebration of Life in honour of Alastair.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
