Montreal Spring School Postponed

Apr 22, 2021 | General News

It’s done it to us again. With the recent increase of COVID-19 cases in central Canada, we have no option but to postpone our Spring Technical School in Montreal, but all is not lost.

Note: Students registered for the Montreal school will be contacted and full refunds issued if they wish to cancel. Other options will be offered.

Plans for the remainder of 2021 are...

Virtual Learning Week

  • In place of the in-person school in Montreal, we are offering five virtual courses during the week of May 31-June 4.
  • The format will be the same as the virtual education being offered now – full-day classes from 10:00 – 6:00 eastern time
  • The following courses will be offered:

    • DHT Exam Prep – 2 Days
    • Using Door, Frame & Hardware Standards (COR123) – 2 Days
    • Using Codes & Standards (COR140) – 3 Days
    • Introduction to Detailing Doors, Frames & Hardware (COR146) – 3 Days
    • Introduction to Specification Writing (COR147) – 3 Days

In-Person Regional Courses

  • We are offering Door, Frame & Architectural Hardware Applications (COR117) and Electrified Architectural Hardware (COR133) at two locations in the West in either May or June
  • These courses don’t lend themselves to virtual delivery and, because of their popularity, it’s important we bring this education to our members

Fall Technical Schools

  • As always, we are committed to offering members two in-person technical schools each year
  • Plans for 2021 are to offer both the Montreal school and the Calgary school in the Fall, with full curriculums at each
