StatsCan Releases November 2021 GDP Growth, Sneak Peek at Q4 and FY2021 Numbers

Statistics Canada figures released today showed that Canada's GDP rose 0.6% in November, with growth in both goods- and services-producing industries at about that level. Of interest to DHI members, non-residential construction grew by 0.5% in November; this increase came from institutional construction, as both industrial and commercial construction fell in the month. StatsCan estimates that December GDP will be essentially unchanged, that Q4 economic growth will come in at 1.6% and growth for calendar 2021 will be 4.9%.
