In loving Memory of

Murray Alfred Lloyd

1943 - 2024

It is with great sadness the family of Murray Alfred Lloyd announces his passing on August 14th, 2024, at Hospice Maison Albert House.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sharon Anne (McGrath); his two daughters: Cathy Lloyd :(Peter Cumming), Suzanne Walker (Jeff) and his granddaughters: Zoe, Rachel and Molly Walker. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Connell and Heather Wilson of Ottawa and their children: Michael, Barbara and Steven.

Murray was born and raised in Montreal QC; he got his first taste of the Maritimes when he attended UNB to play football.  He then lived and worked in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal before finally settling in Moncton with Sharon to raise their family.  He had a distinguished career that spanned over 60 years.  He was loyal and committed to the companies he represented, the customers he supported and the work he did.

Although he entered into politics later in life, Murray truly enjoyed being a part of Shediac Town Council and representing his community.

Murray and Sharon kept their social calendar full making lifelong friends, both on the East Coast and during the 10 winters they spent in sunny Arizona. He loved to travel, believing cruising was the perfect way to see the world, always planning his next adventure.

Some of the best family memories were made on the slopes over the years, but his true passion was golf.  "Long ball" enjoyed every foursome he was part of, and he was thrilled when his granddaughters took up these sports following in "Gump’s" footsteps.

Always the life of the party; he will truly be missed.

A private – Celebration of Life - will be held at later date.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Hospice Maison Albert House for the exceptional care they provided.
