Shane Patrick FitzGerald, AHC - 1951 - 2026

Shane Patrick FitzGerald, 74, of Saint-Basile-le-Grand, Québec, passed away March 13, 2026 in La Prairie. He slipped away peacefully surrounded by family. The family thanks the staff at both the La Prairie CHSLD and the oncology department at Charles-LeMoyne Hospital for their care and tenderness.

Beloved son of Mary (née Campbell) and Patrick FitzGerald. Devoted husband of Wendy (née Halladay). Proud father of Timothy (Kim), Ryan (Moon) and Shannon. Delighted grandfather of Pénélope and William. Supportive brother to Kevin (d. 2016) and Gary. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private gathering among close family will be held at this time. A celebration of life open to family and friends will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne Foundation.
