Electrified Hardware Consultant (EHC)
Position Overview
POWERGROUP Resources, on behalf of our client All Pro Door & Hardware Ltd., is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Electrified Hardware Consultant to support the specification, coordination, and implementation of electrified door hardware systems across commercial and institutional projects.
This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with experience in access control, low-voltage systems, and architectural hardware. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, installers, suppliers, and clients to ensure all electrified hardware components are properly specified, integrated, and aligned with project requirements and timelines.

Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Work Location: In person
What We Need From You
- 3–5+ years of experience in electrified hardware, access control, or related low-voltage systems
- Certified Electrified Hardware Consultant (EHC) designation strongly preferred (or actively working toward certification)
- Strong understanding of door hardware, electrified locking systems, and building access control integration
- Experience working with specifications, shop drawings, and construction documentation
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., fire codes, accessibility, life safety)
- Experience in construction, building materials, or hardware distribution is a strong asset
- Familiarity with systems such as card access, maglocks, electric strikes, and automatic door operators
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and hardware schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or ERP systems is an asset
- Proficient in riser diagrams and detailing
- Experience with Salto operations
- High attention to detail and accuracy

What You Will Do
- Review project specifications, drawings, and hardware schedules to identify electrified hardware requirements
- Recommend and specify appropriate electrified hardware solutions based on project needs and code compliance
- Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, security integrators, and internal teams
- Provide technical support and guidance to sales, project management, and installation teams
- Assist in the preparation and review of shop drawings and submittals
- Ensure compatibility and integration between door hardware and access control systems
- Troubleshoot issues related to electrified hardware and system functionality
- Support project execution from design through installation and commissioning
- Maintain accurate documentation and project records
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Perform other duties as required
