Operating out of our 14,000 sq. ft. oƯice/warehouse facility in Ottawa, we are a leading supplier of commercial doors, frames, and architectural hardware. We back our team with a massive, fully stocked inventory of hollow metal doors, frames, wood doors, and hardware. We are seeking a driven Project Manager / Sales professional with the ambition to manage key commercial accounts and help take our growing business even further.
Role Description
This is a full-time, oƯice-based Project Manager / Sales role in Ottawa, ON. In this
position, you will lead the project lifecycle completely from initial bidding and estimation
through to final product delivery.
Commercial subcontract work is fast-paced and demanding, which is why we built a
collaborative environment with a dedicated on-hand operational team. Your focus is
technical direction, pricing strategy, and client relations, while our internal staff handles
the logistical heavy lifting, fabrication, and site-level troubleshooting.
Role Responsibilities
- Estimating & Take-offs: Guide on-hand oƯice support staff using your advanced estimation/take-oƯ knowledge to prepare accurate, competitive project bids.
- Schedules & Submittals: Interpret architectural drawings and specs to direct the creation of hardware schedules and shop drawings, utilizing dedicated staff to handle the technical production.
- Project Management: Manage the project lifecycle completely from won bids to execution. Track paperwork, coordinate lead times, and process change orders seamlessly.
- Account Management & Sales: Cultivate relationships with general contractors and industry partners in the Ottawa area via phone, email, and digital platforms to secure contracts and price incoming work.
- Team Delegation: Delegate administrative tracking and logistical coordination to our internal project coordinators, shipper/receiver, and company driver.

- Estimating & Drawing Support: On-hand office staff to assist with data entry, initial take-offs, and technical document production.
- Project Coordinators: Available to keep schedules on track and manage project paperwork.
- In-House Fabrication: A fully equipped stick welding shop and custom fabrication area.
- Logistics Team: A full-time Shipper/Receiver and dedicated company Driver to ensure smooth job site deliveries.
- On-Site Tech Support: A dedicated field technician to handle precise measurements and troubleshoot door/hardware issues on-site so you can stay focused in the office.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of project management, estimating, or sales experience within the commercial door, frame, and hardware industry.
- Deep technical understanding of hollow metal doors/frames and commercial wood doors.
- DHI professional designations (DHT, DHC, AHC) are a major asset, though equivalent field experience is heavily valued.
- Advanced ability to read architectural plans, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Sage. Familiarity with AvaWare software is an asset but not a prerequisite.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills in English (French is a strong asset).
